Color Science Laboratory

Dr. P. Phuangsuwan and Prof. M. Ikeda cooperate to manage Color Science Laboratory. The laboratory is composed of three groups as follows

Color Vision Group
Visual Information Processing Group
Quality of Life Group

 

The fourth conference of Asia Color Association ACA was held in Chiang Mai on 5-8 December 2018 and Dr. Champrapha delivered a keynote speech and five papers were presented by a member and students of CP-MI lab.

  1. Color constancy on 2D photographic images(C. Phuangsuwan, keynote speech)
  2. Color names not expressible by 11 basic colors for Thai people (S. Sonkaew)
  3. Improvement of the color discrimination ability with a spot lighting (N. Wisestoom)
  4.  Strong effect of simultaneous color contrast perceived in the afterimage (M. Ikeda)
  5. Color appearance of objects under vivid colored LED lights (N. Panitanang)
  6. Comparison of the simultaneous color contrast determined by colored paper and colored illumination (P. Chitapanya)

Eleven students and two staffs of CP-MI lab joined and presented papers at international sessions of the 50th conference of Color Science Association of Japan CSAJ held at Tokyo Polytechnic University on 1 and 2 of June, 2019 as follows
